Install CISCO VPN on Windows 7

I need to format my notebook, since I apply for the public beta tester for the Windows 7. I was thinking, well why dont I try to install Windows 7 temporarily for now. At least to try it out before the Windows 7 appears sometime this year (maybe ???)

How To Install Cisco VPN on Windows 7?

1. Install the latest update from Citrix DNE
URL: http://www.citrix.com/lang/English/lp/lp_1680845.asp

2. Reboot
3. Install the TakeOwnership
URL: http://www.howtogeek.com/downloads/TakeOwnership.zip

4. Take Ownership these 2 files using Windows Explorer (right click and then choose take ownership)
C:\windows\system32\drivers\ndis.sys
C:\windows\system32\drivers\en-us\ndis.sys.mui

5. Delete the following files
C:\windows\system32\drivers\ndis.sys
C:\windows\system32\drivers\en-us\ndis.sys.mui

6. Install CISCO VPN Client 5.0.4.0300
7. Reboot
8. Windows will auto repair (put your Windows 7 CD just in case)

8. Put your “Profile” to the profile folder of your CISCO VPN
9. Done. You should be able to connect to your Cisco VPN now

Some Question:
Why do I need to take Ownership of the NDIS.sys or NDIS.sys.mui ? Why cant we delete the file directly.
Ans: You could try, you will found that you wont be able to delete without using the take ownership method.
