Ubuntu Tips - Sharing Clipboard using Remote Desktop or terminal Server Client

If you are using Ubuntu and use terminal server client / remote desktop to Windows OS and not able to share the clipboard.

You could try the following tips:
1. When you connect to the terminal server, use RDP v5 client.
By default Ubuntu try to connect using RDP, change it manually to RDP v5
and you should be able to share the clipboard between ubuntu and windows.

Nokia N900 - Ovi Store Preview

Found this on how to preview the Ovi Store. Looks like its going to open very soon.

You can preview the website but could not download anything yet.

Using your PC
1. go to http://store.ovi.com
2. Register and choose NokiA n97 (you should be able to choose anything).
3. Validate your Email
4. Logon to store.ovi.com using the User ID and Password
5. After logon type this:
https://store.ovi.com/account/settings/set-device?terminalId=N900&fragment=1

This will change your phone to Nokia N900 :)

And you should be able to preview the applications for Nokia N900 from OVI Store now.

Nokia N900

I have ordered Nokia N900 since November 2009. But I only received it on last saturday (Dec 12th).

I do not even realised its there already since I only manage to check it out on Sunday when I opened my door then I notice the package is outside.

Anyway my first impression for this device is COOL.

Finally a device that is able to do what I need :).

So far, I was able to :
1. Use Cisco VPN
2. Use rdesktop
3. Ssh to other servers.

What I dont like about this phone:
1. Bluetooth.
Previously, I am able to use the button in my Motorolla T505 to call someone by using their name, and the phone will automatically dial the number.

Now this feature is not ready yet :(.
So I could not make a phone call without dialing from my phone first, only after that, the bluetooth works.

Hopefully the next firmware will fix that.

2. The Price
Its not "cheap" :(.




Other than that, this is definitely a good phone.
